Meet the Wedding Party

Kayla Moyes

Maid of Honour

Kayla and Megan met during their studies at Cardiff University, where Kayla was doing a year abroad at the time. She returned to Canada to finish her undergrad, but fate brought her back to Cardiff to complete her MBA. Since then, she's been living it up with her partner and their pug, Gary, and taking the PR world by storm! Megan and Kayla shared many adventures in their uni days (climbing out the bathroom window in an Airbnb in Rome) and have remained close through “adulthood”, bonding over quiet morning coffees, work rants, and dog walks. It was no surprise to anyone when Meg asked Kayla to be her MOH.

Katie Jevin

Sister of the Bride

For those who don't know Megan too well, Katie is her younger sister who lives in the states. Katie is currently working for an LGBTQ+ education charity in New York City. She has a passion for politics and judging people, and previously worked for a political organisation in Washington DC (she's also worked for NASA which is her claim to fame, and has written tweets for Obama and even received a signed letter from Hilary Clinton). Katie and Megan have travelled far and wide together and seen many wonders of the world, enjoying donkey rides in Santorini and Christmas markets in Prague (although honestly the biggest wonder is that they didn't kill each other in the process). Megan is thrilled that Katie agreed to be one of her bridesmaids.

Rhiannon Titcomb

Sister of the Groom

Rhiannon and Megan met shortly after Megan started dating Simon (Rhiannon's brother). Their first interaction was during some sort of pub crawl, and Megan remembers being a bit afraid of Rhiannon and worried that she didn't like her. Since then, the two have enjoyed countless weekends in West Wales, game nights, and crafty conversations. Megan is now (slightly) less afraid of her. She's also honoured to call her future sister-in-law her bridesmaid.

Meghan Bandura

Meghan and Megan met in school when they were only 11 years old. They bonded over a shared love of dogs and the fact that they were both sort of outcasts. The two have actually spent more time apart than they have together, as Megan moved away to Tennessee when she was 14. Thankfully Meghan B was great at maintaining long distance friendships, and visited Megan frequently over the years regardless of where she was living (as long as Megan provided Coco Puffs). Megan and Meghan are more like sisters than just friends, and it was just a given that they would be bridesmaids at each others weddings (that's right, Meghan B is getting married too!).

Michelle Kay

Michelle and Megan were fatefully thrown together as flatmates their first year at Cardiff University. Michelle was essentially Megan's tour guide and “how-to” gal, showing Megan around the city and teaching her all sorts of British words (mingin', peng) phrases (where you to, I'll be there now in a minute), and customs (Crimbo shopping, queuing). The two lived together for all 3 years of university and have remained friends ever since. There's probably no one, aside from maybe Simon, that knows Megan's annoying quirks and habits as much as Michelle, so it's no surprise that Megan made sure to count her as one of her bridesmaids.

Katie Pearce

Katie and Megan were introduced to each other by a mutual friend a few years ago and quickly became close friends. They've travelled across Wales and parts of England together and have bonded over endless “deep chats” and pep talks. They've been separated by the England/Wales border for a few years now, but Megan is thrilled to have her friend home again and even more thrilled that Katie is one of her bridesmaids, especially since Megan has not once watched a single podcast that Katie has recommended to her.

Jack Ford

Best Man

Simon and Jack first met in secondary school where they became fast friends. After 17 years they're still best friends, with many a drunken night out ending with affirmations of friendship at 3am. Despite this, Jack has been a fantastic influence on Simon. Being such a kind and genuine person has had a positive impact on both Simon and Megan's lives, and we are honoured that he has accepted the responsibility of being best man (no pressure).

Jacob May

Future Brother-in-law of the Groom

Jacob and Simon met through Rhiannon (Simon's sister). Both Megan and Simon were unsure of what to make of Jacob at first, consistently seeing him and Rhiannon go to many a musical together and singing along to Disney theme tunes. It eventually all made sense when Jacob and Rhiannon announced they were dating. Since then, Jacob and Simon have become good friends, spending hours climbing, doing escape rooms and having board game nights. Jacob has accepted the honour of being a groomsman in exchange for some climbing tips and the promise to not show Simon up anymore on the wall.

Aly Sherif Abdelfattah-Elmakhzangui

Aly and Simon met whilst doing their BSc together at Cardiff Uni. Not content with spending all of their time together for 4 years, they decided to spend another 2 pursuing their Masters as well. A staple couple at any ComSci social, you could guarantee that if there was a party of ComSci students, they'd both be the first there and the last to leave! Aly has graciously accepted the role of groomsman for the wedding, if only to make up for the time he lectured Megan about making sure she wouldn't break Simon's heart whilst they were first dating!

Mezz Davies

Mezz and Simon were thrown together in university as part of a small group who were all doing a similar course. Being lumped together in numerous group projects, with Mezz pulling more than his fair share of work (thanks!), led them to forming a fast friendship. Outside of university, Mezz is the man to blame for getting Simon hooked on Dungeons and Dragons. Many a campaign later, it's only fair that Mezz take the position of groomsman after stealing so much time away from Megan.

Alex Payne

Alex and Simon met at Renishaw when Simon first started working there. Not put off by Alex's horrendous weekly "Bad Joke Monday" emails, Simon and Alex quickly became friends, frequently going to the pub and Games Dev meetups together. Not content with just working together during the week, Simon and Alex also entered a few "Game Jam" events together where they created many a fine game, with Alex even providing some lovely accapella soundtracks along the way. Alex has agreed to be a groomsman on the condition he not recreate this sound at the wedding.

Sebastien Coorevits

Seb and Simon met at Renishaw and quickly became friends whilst working in the same team (and many a pub trip down Cardiff Bay) for a few years. Seb inspired Simon to pick up French again, sometimes torturing Simon with evil quirks of the language, (or as Seb would say 'teaching') and after all this time Simon can finally order a beer in French. Seb has graciously accepted to be a groomsman at the wedding, even after Simon betrayed him by deserting his team at Renishaw.

John Jevin

Father of the Bride

John lives in Calabash, North Carolina with his wife Sue and their two crazy chihuahuas, Luna and Daisy. John recently retired after working in the insurance business for over 30 years! Only a few months later however, he decided he couldn't live without it, and went back to work. In his spare time he enjoys lounging on the deck outside, doing yard work, watching football (American football) with a cold beer, and walks on the beach. He secretly loves Luna and Daisy more than anyone but he'll never tell.

Sue Jevin

Mother of the Bride

Sue also lives in Calabash, North Carolina with John. Sue retired a while back but spends her time taking care of their home and volunteering at the beach to help save the sea turtles! When she's not making the house look festive and homey or receiving poorly timed calls from Megan, she can be found walking the beach and keeping an eye out for sea turtle nests. Just this season she's worked on 5 turtle nests making sure that they get to the ocean after hatching- that's over 500 turtles!

Paul Titcomb

Father of the Groom

Paul lives just outside of Llanelli with his wife Siân, where they enjoy gorgeous valley views (plus the sea on a clear day!) and a short drive to the beach. They have a wonderful furry family consisting of Luna the border collie and three kitties- Teddy, Lumos, and Nox. Paul is a retired engineer who has lived all over the globe, but has recently settled in arguably the best part of the UK (Wales). Paul makes a fantastic Sunday dinner and in his free time he enjoys taking Luna for long walks, reading the paper, and painting Warhammer figures.

Siân Titcomb

Mother of the Groom

Siân also lives in West Wales with Paul. Siân is a retired school teacher (although, does a teacher ever truly “retire”?) and runs a very successful Etsy shop selling crystal gemstone jewellery. Her happy place is the beach, and luckily she lives just up the road from one! Siân loves anything creative and is a true craft guru- just in the past few years she's taught and supported Megan in everything from cross-stitch to crochet! When she's not drinking coffee or hitting people with sticks, she can almost certainly be found with some sort of craft in hand.
